GATE 2022 Cutoff and Expected Qualifying Marks is dependent on various factors like the toughness of the papers, the number of candidates appeared etc; GATE was held from Feb 5-14.
Expected cutoffs for GATE 2022 all branches paper are updated here: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental Science and Geomatics Engineering.
If the paper is not too tough, the GATE qualifying marks for the core branches will be close to the GATE qualifying marks in 2021. Knowledge of GATE cut off will be helpful to check out the PSUs vacancies and admission for MTech details. So, read further to know more.
Knowledge of the previous year cut off could give an idea of what is expected marks to qualify a particular paper. The same is given below.
From the previous two years, it can be understood that the cut off for qualifying GATE civil engineering varies around 26 to 32 marks for general category.
GATE environmental science was only introduced in 2021, from that data it is clear that cut off varies between 25 to 40 across all categories of students.
GATE Geomatics Engineering is a new paper this year.
As said earlier, the GATE cutoff for a particular paper depends on a number of factors as listed below.
The toughness of the paper
Number of candidates appearing for that paper
Number of seats available
All of these factors may or may not vary this year. If variations are less, then we can expect the same range of qualifying marks as in previous years (which is discussed earlier).
