Including these two papers, the total papers in GATE 2022 will be 29. The final syllabus of the paper is released on the 31st of July 2021.
After the National Coordination Board(NCB-GATE) meeting held on Saturday. Prof. Deepankar Choudhury, organising chairman of GATE 2021 told: "the two new papers will be Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Geomatics Engineering".

The paper is so fresh that guessing the syllabus and other things would be too uncertain this time. We will have to wait till August/September to hear all the updates regarding these subjects from the organising institute.
Geomatics Engineering is also a section of the GATE Civil Engineering(CE) Syllabus. It includes- Principles of surveying; Errors and their adjustment; Maps - scale, coordinate system; Distance and angle measurement - Levelling and trigonometric levelling; Traversing and triangulation survey; Total station; Horizontal and vertical curves. Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing - Scale, flying height; Basics of remote sensing and GIS. So, we can expect a wider version of this syllabus.
