ONGC Recruitment through GATE 2021 CE & ES

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) is recruiting for Graduate Engineering Trainees (GET) later to be appointed as Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), Geophysicist, Materials Management Officer, Transport Officer, Geologist or Chmist in Civil, Environmental Science, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics and Instrumentation, etc. disciplines. ONGC has just published the notification for the recruitment of GETs based on the GATE 2021 Score, Qualification and then a Personal Interview.

ONGC's Vacancy Details | GETs 2022


Total Vacancy: 309

  • Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE- Civil): 18 Vacancy- 8 UR, 4 OBC, 3 SC, 1 ST and 2 EWS

  • Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE- Environment): 5 Vacancy- 4 UR and 1 SC

  • Materials Management Officer (Civil & Environment): 13 Vacancy- 6 UR, 1 OBC, 3 SC, 2 ST and 1 EWS

Eligibility Criteria

AEE Civil

  • Essential Qualification: Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks

  • Eligible GATE Paper: GATE CE


AEE Environment

  • Essential Qualification: Engineering Graduate in Environment Engineering/ Environment Science with minimum 60% marks OR Graduate in an Engineering discipline with minimum 60% marks with M.Tech./ME in Environment Engineering/ EnvironmentScience

  • Eligible GATE Paper: GATE ES

Materials Management Officer

  • Essential Qualification: Graduate Degree in any Engineering with minimum 60% marks

  • Eligible GATE Papers: GATE ES/CE/ME/EE/IN/PE/CH

Age Limit

  • UR/EWS: 30 Years

  • OBC NCL: 33 Years

  • SC/ST: 35 Years

Go to the career section of ONGC, you will get the official notification and then a link to apply for the same. The application mode is online only and the registration fee for GEN/EWS/OBC is kept 300/- wheras it's free for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.


Selection Procedure

  • The candidate should clear all the necesaary eligible criterias as discussed above including the age criteria.

  • The GATE 2021 Score carries a weighatge of 60% to the final selection. The qualification carries 25% weightage (20% marks for the essential qualification and 5% for in line Ph.D.)

  • Then a personal interview will be held for the selcted candiadtes, which carries 15%.

  • Candiadtes who qualify the inetrview shall be empaneled in the Merit List.
